Rippletunes is a collaborative platform to assist the development of audio projects through the interchange of musical parts.

As an initiator, you begin by uploading an idea in mp3 format. This idea will then appear in the Pool for potential collaborators to preview. To collaborate, a user may then download that idea, record an additional part, export the part (alone) and add it to the initiating idea in the form of a proposal. This proposal may then be accepted or declined by the idea's initiating user. If accepted, a collaboration (Lab) is automatically formed. The latest mixdown of this Lab may then be replaced by first downloading all of the collaborative parts. The latest mixdown of the lab will continue to appear in the Pool for other members to add additional parts.

As an idea initiator, you will receive an email whenever a new part is proposed. As a potential collaborator, you will receive an email if a proposed part is accepted by the initiator.

You may delete an initiating idea at any time, as long as no other collaborators' parts have been accepted. Similarly, a proposed part can be withdrawn as long as it has not been accepted by the initiator.
